Black Cinderella

This is a 2021 Japanese romantic drama series with 8, 40 minute episodes. Also known under the titles black-sheep Cinderella and Burakkushinderera.

Synopsis

Kamiya Manaha (Riko) had a positive encounter with a beauty pageant winner as a child and has since desired to compete in Pageants herself. As a young adult lacking confidence she decided she did not have what it took to compete and resolved to forget her dream. When a pageant is held at her school she is unexpectedly nominated to compete and encouraged by a fellow student, Tachibana Keigo (Kamio Fuju), who is a top male model. As she is about to step out on stage a freak accident results in a scar on her face. After her accident she is saved from the depths of despair by Shimamura Sora (Itagaki Mizuki) an introverted yet free spirited transfer student. Both boys discover there is a lot more to Kamiya than what it seems and bth fall for her. But not everyone wants her to have a happily ever after.
