Synopsis

Idol I follows the collision of fandom, justice, and truth when a top idol becomes the center of a criminal case that threatens to dismantle both his career and identity.

Maeng Se-na is a highly skilled attorney known for her precision in the courtroom and her ability to remain emotionally detached from her cases—except when it comes to one person. For years, she has quietly admired Do Ra-ik, a charismatic idol whose music helped her through difficult moments in her life.

When Ra-ik is suddenly accused of murder, the case dominates headlines, turning public admiration into suspicion overnight. Despite the risk to her reputation, Se-na makes the unconventional decision to defend him.

What begins as a professional challenge quickly becomes something more complicated. As Se-na investigates, she uncovers inconsistencies in the evidence and hidden connections within the entertainment industry that suggest the case may not be as straightforward as it appears.

Meanwhile, Ra-ik—once confident and untouchable—begins to unravel under pressure. Forced to confront both the accusation and his own past, he struggles to maintain trust in a system that seems ready to condemn him.

As the two grow closer, their relationship is shaped by tension, doubt, and the constant question of truth. Is he innocent, or is Se-na defending someone she only thought she knew?

Blending courtroom drama with emotional intimacy, Idol I explores how quickly perception can shift—and whether love can survive when trust is built in the shadow of uncertainty.
