8/10 is my rating. This a 99 minute Hong Kong science fiction action movie. Filmed in 2017, scheduled to be released in 2019 but not actually released until 2022.

First I provide a unique synopsis then review.

Synopsis

In the future, 2055, advanced military robots were used to wage wars which have destroyed many resources on the planet. Add in pollution and climate change and the atmosphere is riddled all but destroyed.. Babies are born with a myriad of birth defects and either live a painful existence or perish at a young age, To protect the remaining cities, large domes, called Skynets are built to provide artificial atmosphere. During the last phases of Skynet construction, a meteor landed in an area called B16 (formerly Hong Kong) and released an alien plant that grows at a destructive rate when it rains. They do not want to completely destroy the plant however as it also purifies the atmosphere. A brilliant scientist has a plan to introduce gene therapy to the plant which will curb its growth. An elite team is tasked with delivering the payload but must battle alien insect like creatures, rogue robots, and a powerful general who does not want to see Skynet replaced. Can they complete their mission and save the people?
